From FAR:

Five Angels from Stephanie B. says;

'Go ahead and get out your box of Kleenex before you sit down to read this story. Maggie and Jackson are such enduring, yet damaged souls that you can’t help but fall in love right along with them. As the couple works through the issues in their lives that have prevented them from letting other people close, you hurt right along with them. And when Maggie finally figures out she is in love with Jackson but seems unable to allow herself to believe or trust, you’ll want to slap her silly. Jackson on the other hand does seem too good to be true, but you can’t help but like him; he is trying so hard to do the right thing for Maggie. This book is a keeper; you will want to read it over again anytime fairy tales seem unlikely in your life. Even in the modern, fast paced, workaholic lives most of us lead, a fairy tale ending is still possible. I have always loved a good fairy tale, and I just adore this modern fairy tale!'

'Maggie Monroe might not believe in all that fairy tale stuff, but meeting Jackson Riley certainly made her a believer in love (okay—so maybe it was lust), at first sight. Unfortunately that little reality check hit her like a ton of bricks and had just the opposite effect on Maggie than it would any other red-blooded twenty-five year old woman. Everything that she believed she wanted in life—all of her well thought out future plans—were in some serious jeopardy right about now. Jackson Riley had to be just about the hottest thing around and Maggie, well she was in way over her head with him.

The problem? Well it was clear to Jackson Riley what the problem was. It was five foot two, blond hair, green eyes with the biggest ‘get lost’ attitude he’d ever run across—Maggie Monroe. The solution? What usually worked with most women that got under his skin? Normally, the second they opened their mouths, he lost interest. Unfortunately, that wasn’t working with Maggie Monroe. Everything Jackson found out about her only made him that much more interested in her and spelled nothing but trouble for his weekly schedule of dating Austin’s most beautiful women. For the chance to get to know the real Maggie Monroe beyond her tough girl act, Jackson was willing to give up more than just one night a week. Maggie could have all seven if she liked.'

Here's what's being said about Don't Close Your Eyes:

Melinda at Night Owl Romance says:  4.5

'Mary Eason knows suspense and this is one you got to read. I was hooked from the first chapter. The author has a way with words and the story coming to life. Each chapter I read she makes you question did the Angel really die the first time. I was entranced in each chapter and felt for Meagan. Here is a woman who has this unique gift but is afraid of ending up like her mother letting it control her. Jack is a man who loves only one time and his great love is Meagan. These two are great for each other yet must find a way to be there for one another when the Angel of Death is set to kill. Loved it.'

Alisha with TwoLipsReviews: Gives Don't Close Your Eyes Five Lips and has selected the book as her November's REVIEWER'S CHOICE AT TWOLIPS!

'Mary Eason has created the perfect book to keep the reader on the edge of the seat while searching for clues on the killer. Don't Close Your Eyes does not focus overtly on the sex, but I never missed it as I was so involved in the search for this evil human. The author sucked me in to her story and I felt as if I was really there and witnessed it all. This book is quite enjoyable and one that readers do not want to miss. I can hardly wait to see how Ms. Eason tops this! '

'Intensely emotional, fast-paced, taut suspense...a great read that will keep you turning the pages!'

Don't Close Your Eyes receives a Four Coffee Cup Review from  Krista at CoffeeTime Romance:

'Ms. Eason tells a scary story full of twists and turns. I was completely surprised at who the real Angel of Death turned out to be. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat and can make you a little jumpy. I am impressed at the realistic portrayal of the police force as well as the events that occur. '

Don't Close Your Eyes receives its first review from The Romance Studio:

'Megan’s connections to his thoughts are disturbing and compelling. Author Eason gives just enough clues to help the reader suspect the truth. This is a very satisfying tale of suspense. '

"The story will have you laughing and crying right along with Paige as she deals with the challenges of life and love. This is a mid-length book that is definitely a must read. You won’t want to put the book down until the very end."

Mrs. Giggles gives it an 86:

"Ms Eason's success in depicting emotions in a manner that may be more romanticized and lighter than those in real life but at the same time recognizable enough for me to relate to. As a result, this book manages to be more heartwarming than I initially expect. I should know - I am having a pretty rough day when I sit down and randomly pick this book to read and at the end of the day, well, look at me, I'm smiling."

Coffeetime Romance gives it three cups: http://www.coffeetimeromance.com/BookReviews/Thirtylessons.html

"This story has caused quite a range of emotions for me. II could understand her lack of self-confidence. Being the same age as Paige, I believe that many women our age begin to doubt their roll in life. Thankfully most of us, including Paige, have friends and family that pull us kicking and screaming out of our dark holes and into the light."

"Mary Eason tells a story of a woman that tries to come to terms with events in her life, and how true friends, and colleagues are often there to help with encouraging words. I found this story to be real with well-rounded characters that make it even more believable. I thought Jude and Paige had a wonderful chemistry that made the book a true joy to read."

Ten Thousand Angels by Mary Eason

Matt Stevens might be a genius when it comes to creating the best security software programs around but his personal life is a wreck. Three years ago, he walked away from life and all the things that mattered to him after his son’s death. The only person who had come close to reaching him was the old woman that rented his cabin.

But then Rachel Bowers had died. Alone--without the granddaughter she loved by her side.

When Kate Alexander arrives on his doorstep, Matt is ready to dismiss her as simply an ungrateful child until she faints in his arms and he learns that she is pregnant and struggling to keep from losing her baby. Is Kate’s arrival just a coincidence? If so then why does he feel alive again for the first time in years? Or could her very presence there be proof that there is such a thing as second chances after all? If so then what does that do to all of his doubts?

What's being said about Ten Thousand Angels:

New today from Jenn at Coffeetime Romance:

RATING:

Kate Alexander always believed that God existed and loved her. She never meant to get into the situation that she did, but life has a way taking unforseen turns. And, in Silver

Springs, she finds the one thing that she least expects.

Matt Stevens is alone and bitter. Tragedy robbed him of many things, including his faith in God. He no longer cares to believe. Matt refuses to let anyone close enough to hurt

him again, except for Rachel, until he meets the woman’s granddaughter.

When Matt meets Kate, he thinks she is just a selfish young woman. He denies that he feels anything for her besides pity. When she becomes ill he is forced to step outside his own grief-stricken world and back into life, into caring.  He sees that maybe he has something left inside after all. Kate must also come to grips with her past and see what she could have, if she would only believe. This couple must face sometimes seemingly insurmountable obstacles to reach the destination that surely had some divine intervention.

Ten Thousand Angels is a heart-warming story of emotional, physical and, above all, spiritual healing of a couple that has lost so much in their lives. The journey is long and hard, but in the end, love and faith help guide them on the path to happiness. This story is a well written and emotionally satisfying read with vividly drawn characters that make

you root for them all.

This story is so very beautiful. It made me cry. I loved it and recommend it to everyone.

Ten Thousand Angels is a top pick for August at Romance Reader At Heart:

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

I thoroughly enjoyed THE THOUSAND ANGELS. The hero, Matt, is a tormented soul after having lost his wife and toddler son in a traffic accident. He’s understandably bitter and hurt and has lost his love for God. The heroine, Kate, is poignant but resilient...and she’s pregnant from a disastrous and abusive relationship. She, too, has walked away from God. Matt and Kate need each other; they are perfect for each other; they try so hard not to fall in love with each other and therein lies the heart of this wonderful love story. You want them to admit their love and return to the Lord and it’s what keeps you turning the pages. Ahhh, romance.

Ms. Eason has penned a truly emotional, heart rendering story that had me swiping the tears from my eyes. The depth and strength of the characters held me so enthralled that I found it nearly impossible to put the book down. Fans of Ms. Eason will require only two things when they start this fabulous read: tissue and the time to read it in one sitting.

This novel is Ms. Eason’s first foray into the realm of inspirational romance, although she has written in other romance genres, and this reviewer sincerely believes that the inspiration genre’s gain is the other genre’s loss.  Ten Thousand Angels was a story that strongly resonated in this reviewer’s heart even after the book was finished and is a definite keeper.  Any fan of inspirational romance will enjoy this gem.

My first review is in from Sheryl at eCataromance who rates Ten Thousand Angels as  4 Stars

Ten Thousand Angels is a wonderfully inspirational tale of love, forgiveness and also faith. To believe again you must also forgive yourself.

Coming to Silver Mountain, Colorado, Kate Alexander expects to find comfort with her grandmother Rachel, but upon arriving is told that she is dead. Sick and alone, Kate is unsure of what to do and it does not help when Matt Stevens accuses Kate of not being there for her grandmother. Now Kate must find a way to survive for herself and the baby she carries and also make a life without fear.

I was deeply moved while reading Ten Thousand Angels by the way this book was written. Surviving any tragedy takes time and for Kate and Matt they discover they must forgive before they can live life to its’ fullest. I found this story a motivating and inspiring read. It engaged my emotions and I found myself having to stop and think about some passages in the book. I loved how this story made me react and I am sure others’ who read this will react just the same.
